Happily

I missed my plane yesterday due to a rumoured ice streak on the highways which meanly landed Far and me in the same 30 meter stretch for over an hour, just outside the City Zoo exit. When we got to the vluchthaven, I was relieved to find no fines for taking the same flight the next day. This was all for the better since I wasn't ready to leave yesterday anyway and got to have an extra day with my family! Yay, that meant sushi lunch with Far in town, a new small suitcase, eierkoeken for breakfast, quality time with Mom, a Royal Danish Tea after dinner with fresh banket bakkerij pastries, and a brief dip into Bocaccio's "Decameron" before nodding off to earned sleep.

It was a day for second chances, too: I got to finish the last 20 pages of "A Bend in the River" which was beyond delicious (like one of Dahl's 3-course meals in a roll of gum), dig through old books for things I could use in class, and send off a package to friends with a letter.

What a wonderful time home it's been... I almost can't tear myself away. Again.
